Members can invite the OpenBiCafe visitors they fancy into the
Bisexual Club as their guest for 30 days.
A member's guest list has 3 slots to start with.
As a guest's 30-day period ends or that guest become a member or
cancels, that slot becomes available again to invite another
visitor. The longer one is a member of the Club, the more slots are
added to their list (currently one new slot every 6 months). For
example: If you have been a member for a year, your list has 5
slots. Two years: 7 slots, etc.
The guest system lets the members themselves
influence and favor the type of members they prefer to socialize
with in the Bisexual Club. Obviously, visitors who have been
invited by members are more likely to become members themselves than
visitors who have not.
There will also be rewards for members whose visitors become members most often as an incentive for everyone to explore OpenBiCafe and uncover new like-minded friends. Other things you want to know:
- When you message a visitor, you are making it a guest into the club. - You cannot un-invite your guest. If your guest is a problem, contact us. - A visitor can only be a guest ONCE. What guests can and cannot do in the Club: - They can message ANY member, but not other guests. - They cannot invite visitors as their guests (obviously!) - They cannot see intimate details or pictures, EVEN if you give them access to your own. - They can participate in interest groups, but cannot create them or be moderator. The region system in BiCafe
A region is generally a recognized
metropolitan area that includes one or more cities. It is a
far
more efficient way to locate nearby members than by postal code
or city name as a region usually defines one's social
range in time and distance. (except in Asia and South America where
membership is not large enough yet to justify more regions).
Home region is the area you live or spend the
most time in.
Favorite or Away region can be another region
you visit often, or spend time in. A vacation spot for example, or
even leisure time in virtual worlds like in Second Life.
When you search for members by region, the
resulting list INCLUDES members who selected that region as their
Favorite or Away region. That is why it is important for you to also
indicate your Favorite region: You are twice as likely to be found!
You can change your Home or Away region at any time under the
'Geo' tab of either your account or your page (depending if you are
a visitor or a member).
Do not select both region as the same. It is rather useless! Pictures
Social, Personal and Intimate scope
You can define your social scope to any of three levels: Social,
Personal or Intimate (Intimate scope is for members
only).
When you create your page, your scope is only Social. If you fill-in at least one item of a personal nature, generally set in a light blue background in your "My Page" (visitors) or "My Account" (members and guests) your social scope becomes Personal. To return your page to a Social scope only, simply change ALL items in the light blue areas back to: - not shown -. You will see others Personal information ONLY if your own page shows Personal information as well. If you only show Social information, you will only see Social information on other pages. Club members have an additional choice above Personal: Intimate scope. Only members who themselves choose to show Intimate details on their page can see other members Intimate details. Guests cannot use or see Intimate details. Note that if you are showing Intimate details and wish to return your page to Social scope only, you will need to set - not shown - on ALL Personal AND Intimate information. While the Intimate scope includes the Intimate photo album, access to that photo album remains restricted to the specific members you allowed access to. As the Intimate scope is for club members only, that portion of the page is NEVER visible on OpenBiCafe if you choose to make your page summary visible to visitors. How to cancel your account
Members and guests: Click My account on the menu of the
Bisexual Club section. The link to cancel your account is at
the bottom right of the first tab (My account).
Visitors and expired guests: Click Edit my page in the OpenBiCafe section. The link to cancel your account is at the bottom right of the first tab (My account). If you cancel your account, all your information is deleted from our records INCLUDING your e-mail address. You will no longer receive any e-mail from us. About birthdate
Your birthdate is requested when you first sign-up
because while BiCafe is NOT an adult site, we only
serve an audience that is at least 18 years of age.
Birthdates are also requested for each partner listed on your page. Birthdates are classified in the Social scope, not in the Personal scope because age can matter even in a purely social context. Generations simply have different interests of discussion, music, literature, etc. Location: City, State/Dept./Province, Country
While searching by region is more efficient and usually
yields better results, searching by country is especially useful in
areas where the audience is more scattered.
The most popular countries can also be searched by States (USA), Provinces (Canada), Territories (Australia), Departments (France) or Cantons (Switzerland). Unfortunately, there is no compatible regional structure for the UK. There is no search by cities because our own region system is much more efficient at defining metropolitan areas. Note that if you happen to change country, you will need to save the change of the country FIRST then update the State/Dept./Province and save again. E-mail address
Accounts with bad e-mail addresses are deleted.
The e-mail magazine we send you about once a month also serves the purpose of keeping members and visitors lists CURRENT. - Visitors and guests accounts are automatically deleted whenever their e-mail address becomes invalid. - Members accounts are first set to hidden, then deleted after 90 days if the e-mail address has not been updated. You can update your e-mail address at any time by clicking My account on the top menu of the Bisexual Club (for members and guests) or OpenBiCafe (for visitors). We never disclose e-mail addresses to anyone for any reason, except as may be required by law. First name or nick
Under the Personal tab of My account, you can
indicate the first name or nick or each partner. This is distinct
from your account Nickname and is useful to identify and personalize
each partner. This is optional.
